HOW WE MADE IT IN AFRICA: THE BOOK AVAILABLE NOW!

An in-depth look into the journey of Ethiopian serial entrepreneur Addis Alemayehou

Addis Alemayehou

Partner, managing partner, board member, senior advisor … the list of positions Addis Alemayehou holds concurrently is impressive. Yet Alemayehou comes across as pretty calm and collected. He admits that on the inside, though, the pressure often gets to him.

“There are nights I don’t sleep and there have been times where the stress has threatened my health. Things don’t always work out the way you want them to, or the numbers don’t come in the way you expected, or clients have an issue with your service. It is a never-ending roller coaster, but it is part of being an entrepreneur,” says the 47-year-old Alemayehou.

HOW WE MADE IT IN AFRICA: THE BOOK will offer readers an in-depth look into the fascinating story of how Alemayehou started Ethiopia's first English radio station, built a top advertising agency, and launched one of the country's most popular TV channels. He also opens up about his biggest failure in business.

How we made it in Africa: The book tells the stories of 25 entrepreneurs who've built thriving businesses. The ebook launched on 15 October 2018.
